Welcome to the Suga’ Virtual Performance Space. 

We invite you to recite with us the Shared Values we uphold. Please keep this energy throughout your interactions in this space. 

We acknowledge Indigenous people as the true stewards of the lands on which we live and work. We recognize the trauma and injustice they have endured and continue to face. 

We acknowledge the legacy of the TransAtlantic Slave Trade, the historical violence and injustice endured by people of African descent and the continued harm of white supremacy and anti-Blackness in society today. 

We agree to let go of the Eurocentric worldview and all senses of white supremacy. 

We agree to let go of patriarchal heteronormative worldviews.

We agree to approach this space with an investment in the liberation of all peoples from all forms of oppression.

We agree to abandon ableist notions of time and labor, what a performance is and what a performer does. 

We agree to let go of all linear senses of time and experience. The past, present and future are linked and layered.

We agree that all our interactions in the space will be based on kindness, compassion and shared humanity.
